FYI to other E70 guys, Neil texted me and I looked up online to find aftermarket air springs and it seems like they are not available yet for E70, unlike the E53 which you can use Arnott Industries replacements half of what the dealer charges and with a lifetime warranty..

Yes it was dry rotted, there are at lest one company in FL that had the air spring for half the price as the dealer but it was Their own product, I needed to get back on the road so I went with the original from the dealer, and as mentioned some dealers are on ebay with OEM spring for $40 bucks less, I will buy the other air spring from them and install it when I receive it, BMW recommend using ISTA to lower and raise the spring for the E70 so I am waiting for my ICOM system to arrive.
