Thanks, that ties in with what I was told by John (ccfj1) that it takes the language from the coding of the car (is this independent of the MK4)?
That said, the previous ULF was from a UK car and installed into my current Italian car and the VR was in English, so I assume my car was coded to English when I took it to my Indie in the UK a couple of years back.
To be honest I'd be glad just to hear the 'beep' when I hold the VR button on the wheel... then, if the language is English instead of French or Italian, it's not my problem, I've delivered a car with VR as promised....
I sent the log files off to Jochen but I guess he received hundreds per week so I'm not holding my breath...
But you're right - it should 'just work' as it did on all my previous cars (with even older ULF).
