TerminatorX5 is on a distinguished road
Here, on the first picture you can see the wireless Media Link HD from HTC, that takes a wireless signal from an HTC phone and sends it out in HDMI format... which in turn is converted into RCA format, which feeds into the car - the video portion is fed to the video input of the TV module and the audio portion is fed through a Y-splitter into the AUX input of the radio. The other end of the Y-splitter is taking just audio from iLive BT unit - if I don't want to have the phone image on the main screen, say because i am in on-board computer calculating my MPGs or whatever, and i just listen to radio app on the phone...

when my particular phone is playing radio app via the BT unit, it is putting sound out using "Beats" audio... when i make a switch from BT streaming to HDMI streaming, the phone switches the audio output from BT broadcast stream into the Media stream that goes to the wireless HDMI unit, and the audio from the HDMI unit is fed into the same AUX via the second leg of the Y-splitter - the transition in audio is almost seamless... however, the HDMI stream is NOT the "Beats" stream, and I can hear the difference in base... I am not an audiophile, so I care less - if I need to, i just will adjust the DSP...

I am happy with the car's side of this setup but I am not happy with the phone side of the setup, thus I am still tweaking it... I do not like the power management of the HTC phone - in my opinion, when a phone is connected to an adequate power supply, it should not draw its energy from the battery and depleting the battery to 0% in one hour while still connected to power source. I should be able to jump on I-95 in CT and ride it all the way to FL and the phone should not lose a single percent of battery charge while connected to the power supply. And the one I am using is a 3A supply - which I will replace with a 10 A supply, just to eliminate the PS as a possible problem... (I think the problem is in the phone's power management software/firmware - factory phone charger is only a 1 A)

Also, I noticed some glitches in the wireless connection to the HDMI unit - the BT connection to the AUX has been flawless for last few months that i was playing with it, but the connection to the HDMI seems to be losing some packets in the transmission... it is still work in progress...

on the second picture you see the power supplies for those units - they all demand 5V power via micro USB or mini USB - the supplies are wired to my power wake-on-LAN circuitry, which cuts them off once the car is gone into sleep. all of them off ebay, for about $3-5 a piece...

and don't mind the third picture - it is my DVR installation in progress...
