I just purchased the CPO 100k Extended Warranty with my X5 when purchasing it out. The finance person was stating that I would need the 100k Extended Maintenance as the warranty requires all repairs to be performed by a certified mechanic.

Is this true? I can't perform a brake job on the car myself without violating the terms of the warranty?

If so, I guess I'll have to shop around for a location to purchase Extended Maintenance.
