So. Hi everyone, so over the weekend I refitted the cylinder heads, they have been skimmed pressure tested etc new full gasket kit, water pump, thermostat, Vanos seals, check valves, the lot. I have read afew different bleed methods for this vehicle, can anyone tell me with a good degree of certainty what I should be doing to correctly bleed the system. If the cap is left off with the engine running it just overflows and spills out of the top of the tank, if I tighten the cap it blew a hose clip and you can hear the coolant inside the pipes gurgling and sounding very angry. Gauge always stays in the middle of the dial in dash. Can anyone please help, this car has cost me a small fortune so far so would like to get it sorted. The heads were removed because one head had leaking exhaust valves and the other head had lifted because the bolts weren’t tight, (undid with a 3/8 ratchet). It’s a 2003 x5 4.6is Thanks Liam
