Unknown button on center console

It looks like there are 7 different buttons possible (depending on which options the X5 has). Here are the ones I could find in the manual...

1: Driver's Heated Seat
2: Hill Descent Control
3: DSC
4: Open lift gate
5: PDC
6: ???
7: Passenger Heated Seat

Does anyone know what #6 is?

Yup!
Tire monitor.
One of my first questions on this forum a year ago.
Thought it might be to eject an irate passenger through the Sunroof

Now that would be a nice option

Hmmmm...Is that true for the 2004s (and earlier) as well? I am looking at a 2004 and I don't see a Tire Pressure Monitor button listed in the owner's manual.

It seems that the minimum number of buttons is three: Hill Descent, DSC, and Open Lift Gate. PDC is optional and so are the two heated seats buttons. Wouldn't the Tire Pressure Monitor be a standard feature (or was it an option in 2004)?

I concede....it's the tire pressure monitor. However, I don't think this was a standard feature for the early 04s...I think it was added later in the production year, maybe when the 4.8is was released.

Here's a shot from a 04 4.8is...

And one from a 04 3.0i (2004/03 Production Date)...

Kind of unrelated, the X3 doesnt have an interior tailgate release. At the same time, there's one space next to the passenger heated seat button (if equipped) that's blank even if you have all the options. Hmmm hello BMW........maybe try putting the interior trunk release there! (It's annoying that you have to go to the dealer and buy/install the part)
