Need your help

Guys I need a little info concerning warranty items. I brought my X5 in for maintenance work last week and had both my drive belts replaced I was charged 200$, after a little research I realized that the belts are covered under the original owner warranty.

Am I reading this wrong or did I just get screwed out of 200$ ??

Any help would be appreciated.

Yeah - what year is your X? Sounds like that would be covered under maintenance, not warranty...

I had a head gasket replaced because it was leaking and they tried to charge me for it, so I figure that they're trying to take me for a ride.

My suspensions feeling kinda soft but they said there's no play. I can hear and feel every bump and pothole resonating through the cabin.

I'm starting to get really impatient with my dealership, I bet they cant wait for my warranty to be over.

Well, when I got my '04, the maintenance program was good for 4 years or 50K miles, whichever comes first. Did you get the same? Perhaps your mileage is over???

Maintenance plan expired at 60 000kms (I'm at 73 000kms). But I remember reading somewhere that the belts are covered for defects. Is a belt cracking at 73k a defect?
