Keep Rack or Lose Rack?

Okay,

So after my knee surgery, snowboarding is pretty much out of the question for the rest of the season. I put on my roof rails this year so that I could carry my board on the top of the X.

The question is, should I pull them off for the summer or leave them on?

I kind of like the look?

Tell me what you think?

I know she is dirty, it rains here 5 out of 6 days every week here during the winter months.

Sorry, I don't like the look at all - even if you were using them! If I needed those, I'd take 'em off between every trip. Unless, of course, you want to add a satellite dish up there...

Well it is actually a little bit of a pain to put them on and off without help. I don't want to end up scratching my roof. As well I don't want to end up striping the bolts that hold them on. If am to pull them off it will only be for the season. Plus I go like every weekend when I do so pulling them on and then off all of the time is out of the question.

If you are not using them, I'd take them off. Personally I don't like the look, but if you like it, then keep it. I'm not sure, but is there any 'risk' of having them up? Can they be stolen, get damaged, get loose and damage the car etc... If you only want them for the look, I'd consider if there are any risk to balance out. To each thier own and this is your ride so your call.

There are no real risks. They can't be stolen, there is a specially made key (socket wrench) for them. The only complaints I have are the extra added wind noise, and they are kind of a pain to wash.

Na, almost 32. I wish I could have afforded a car like this when I was 25.

LOL NO! I was going to say, if you are single, then keep them. If not, lose them. Don't ask my reasoning...I can't explain it!!
