Wheel arch retrofit kit,#51710149189

Does anyone know where this is fitted or have access to any photos with this kit on an X5?
I can identify these on Real.oem but no photos!Google not much help either

Been offered these at a good price and maybe an alternative to the expensive 4.6/4.8is rear fender flares.

Thanks in advance

Ran the Numbers off the sticker on the box and it came up as Mud Board.

Before opening new thread here,I ran the part number through Real.oem and it comes up a wheel arch extensions included in the equipment parts ,should you have ordered 20" set up on your new car back then.

But I am inclined to agree with ECS description of mudboard because as we know 20" set up without flares will get your bumper dirty,so maybe Bmw sold this as extensions instead of mud flaps to justify the usd 188.00 price!

Thanks for the input and I think you may be right
I just hope you are not because bidding for these is up to usd 120.00 and I would hate to pay that for mudflaps.
Also ,if they were a real alternative to the fender flares, how come no one seen them

So ,I may let X555a win them

Thanks X555a
Appreciate all the information..Thank you.

Looks like nobody knows what this wheelarch kit is?I looked at the photos more closely and checked with the rear wheelarch/bumper on my X5 and the holes on the pieces could be made to align with same holes as on the wheelarch/bumper!
So maybe they fit as per red marks on the photo attached on my X5,I am not sure!I think they fit here because this is the part that is spluttered with water if you have 20"s!
If this is how they fit ,then it should be perfect as there is flare that goes over the top of the wheelarch !
Anyway ,I am not bidding any higher than max bid,so if I dont win it,we will never know what this is.
My intention is only to get the oem small fender flares and adapt these on my existing arches, not the complete parts.

Yes, those seem like mud guards. I'm just wondering, like you, how they fit.

If they fit only behind the wheel, then why two pieces and not one?

If one covers the whole lower bumper support, like the SE and 4.6/4.8 flares, then where does the other piece go? Only places would be on the upper arch or in front of the wheel next to the running board.

My guess would be on the upper arch. It's just much smaller in lenght compare to the SE and 4.6/4.8 flares.

EDIT: Looks like those parts are made for X5s with the optional AERO pkg and 20" wheels. They're NOT meant to be used with standard X5s w/o the aero pkg. Says right there on realoem:

RealOEM.com BMW E53 X5 4.4i BMW LA wheel, star spoke 87
