Battery won't take charging?
My wife parked the car, came back to start it 3 hours later. and nothing happenend. Can it drain this fast? the battery is 1 year old. Tried to charge the battery, but it wont charge. IS the battery broken? shortcut in the battery? Also trans. failsafe mod came on, is this due low voltage? IT is an E53 2004 modell.

Take the battery and get it tested. Sounds like it has failed.
Yes, low battery voltage can cause that fault.

Hey I had a same experience before. In my case, the aternator caused the problem and got replaced from dealer for $800 + labor. Those waring signs are from low battery voltage and will stop your engine soon. Since your battery is only an year old, you should check your alternater as well.
