Engine Start Button Help
These are the instructions I've been using
E46 DYI: http://members.shaw.ca/banana_bread/...nestartdiy.htm E36 DYI: http://www.bimmerdiy.com/diy/e36startbutton Ok, so I got as far taking off the panel under the steering wheel. This is what the instruction said next: "Once all of this is removed, you can pull down which will expose two clips that need to be pulled out to gain access to the wiring. Use a small flat head screwdriver to pull these out, then yank straight down and the plastic piece underneath the steering column should pop out. Don't be afraid to use a little force here. Once this is done, you should see something like this" ![]() Is it that black box around the steering column? Where is the blue/black and green wire? I wasn't able to open the box around the steering column but I found a green and yellow/black wire coming out of the black box. Can I just splice into those wires? How do I test if they are the right wires? The E36 DYI says yellow/black and green wire. Are those it or do I have to get inside that box? I appreciate the help guys. Thanks.
