Well that interactive video that RichardP1 posted is a much better demonstration , but nevertheless, here are my static pics from my NAV screen FWIW....
The 1st screen is in "FULL SCREEN" mode for those who like their NAV system in FULLSCREEN vs. SPLIT SCREEN. I usually drive in SPLIT SCREEN, but the Intravee-II supports both modes.

Currently, the 1st two screens is when I am playing audio CDs from the my CD Changer. There is no "CD-TEXT" because I don't have any MP3 disc in the Alpine CD Changer at this time.

The 3rd screen is when I enter the "Source" Ai-Net menu and my CD-Changer is on NET 1 and my iPod is on NET 2. So I click on NET 2 to start playing my iPod...

The rest of the screens are various different search options and control options....

A few more pics...
You can search in two different modes, regular or enhanced. The regular mode is more like a BMW developed option and the Enhanced search mode is more like searching on the iPod control wheel....

If you load the latest firmware, 5.31-298, you can name the sources so that instead of saying just Net 1, Net 2, Aux 1 and Aux 2 you could have CD Changer, iPod, DVD Player, Playstation or whatever is appropriate.

The name of an iPod source (you could have 2 iPods, as I do) can be set so that it is automatically set to the name of the iPod, plug in a friends iPod (without ABBA on! ) and the name of that iPod will appear as a source.

Good thing you didn't see my wife's Barry Manilow music on the iPod!!

I'll upgrade the firmware....I'm still waiting for Simon re: jumper instructions on the Intravee due to having Sirius Satellite.

Nevertheless, I drove all day with the Intravee-II, Alpine Ai-net, & iPod and had no problems finding and playing songs on the iPod. Even found my old Frank Sinatra collection!!

Congrats on the install. I've being using the IVII now for a couple of years in my M3 as well. Its keeps going from strength to strength ....

The advanced search capability is now the icing on the cake. Absolutely fantastic integration of the iPod into the BMW I-Bus nav system.
