Changing E53 Xenon Bulbs

Change Xenon Bulb


** HIGH VOLTAGE WARNING ** MUST BE DONE WITH LOW BEAMS OFF! **

This is very easy as long as you don't drop the screws!

First remove the rubber bellows seal and 3 screws from the round cover. The bellows is held by a "U" clip see below.



Bellows retainer clip and bellows shown below.



"U" clip removed. Simply latches in on each side. The parts are visible in the picture above.

The HV wire attached to the Xenon bulb shown below. Simple twist off to remove it.



The bulb is held in the socket by the retainer shown bottom right. Again, a simple twist off to remove.



Replace the bulb making sure to align it correctly in the socket. Attach the bulb retainer. Attach the HV wire and make sure it is firmly fixed in place. Reinstall the cover and attach the bellows back in place using the "U" clip.
DONE!
