Charging issues
I’m not sure if I have a problem or not. I have a Motorola e815 and the battery dies if I leave the phone in the snap in adapter for a couple of days without driving the car. Does the X5 only charge the phone if the ignition is on and if so can I change it so it maintains the cell phones battery fulltime. My vehicle is 03 X5 4.4i w/ Nav. Thanks

Correct. Charging is on with the car on only

is there a way to work-around that and have it charge?
Once I get my "no ship's power" issue figured out, I'd like to see if that is possible. The 12v plug in the back of the console does stay on when the car is off. I wonder if you spliced into that power wire and ran it up to the cradle? I'm not smart enough to figure out how to do it, just a thought....

The WHITE wire in the eject box senses if the iginition is on and turns the eject box on and off. It is designed to turn OFF the bluetooth phone charging when the car is off to avoid draining the car battery

Can I connect the WHITE wire to +12V when "ignition on" also to enable charging? Or does it need to go to GND for that?

connect white to green.

To the "Pairing" line? Does it have an internal pull-up resistor to +12V?
EDIT: Anyway, tried and works fine - permanent charging - big THX! |
that is right, white to green but not 12V. It is 5V as I recall :-)

where can i find the white and green wires? Thanks for your help...8-)

The BT Eject Box has 4 wires:
- Pairing_Key (Green) - +12V (Red) - Cradle_On (or charging!) (White) - GND (Brown) Ronny |
