You might not need the phone cradle to pair your phone. I have an 2006 X5 3.0 w/o the nav and all I needed to do was get a code to hook it up. As soon as you turn on your X5 the bluetooth is working, you have about 2 minutes or so to link your phone after that. Go through your phone settings as soon as you turn on your vehicle and find the one that "searches for bluetooth device". If your phone finds it your are almost done. For me, since I did not have the nav I needed to enter a code on my phone to complete the link and pairing process, but since you have the nav the steps for yours might be a little different. Go to the BMWUSA web site and look around. They have some instructional videos on how to link your bluetooth. That's were I learned how to do mine. Below is a link to those videos. Just select the one that applies to your vehicle... Hope this helps...

where did you get the code from? my phone doesnt find my X5 but if i go to info it says i have 5 bars in the signal strenght. i dont get it. i have the telephone feature on my screen but i just cant not get it to link.

Hmmm... that's a weird one... I think since you have the Nav the process to link it up is different, but the code or "passkey" as BMW refers to it is on the original owner's literature. I did not have that literature so I had to take it to the dealership. They charged me around $65 for them to hook up to my X5 computer and download the code. Have you looked at some of those videos on the BMW website?... there's a lot of info in there...

The "5 bars in the signal strenght" that you mention, is that on your cell phone or on the X5 screen?
My only guess is that if your phone cannot find the X5 bluetooth then either your phone is not compatible with the X5 bluetooth or the X5 bluetooth is malfunctioning... but again, this is only a guess....
