Seimens Bit-II to TCU with BT upgrade Help

Hello,

plz forgive my poor english!

I have 330i 2003 with MKIV sw V32,TV and Bit-II seimens Telephone and im planning to upply an upgrade to use a TCU, i maneged to find it from a canceled X3 2007 part no 84109115729 Continental date 14.03.2007 SW 03.25 without the eject box upgrade.

someone had confirmed its working perfect on e46 with a telephone prewired on this link

http://www.bimmerboard.com/members/p...artNumbers.pdf

i removed every part in the trunk and the arm rest to figure out what do my car have cables for the telephone and found these:

Antenna under the arm rest ..looks very similare to the bluetooth antenna.
http://img403.imageshack.us/img403/9830/imga0876.jpg

i think a connector from the trunk and Bit-II converter SA630 and unused purpule black cable
http://img245.imageshack.us/img245/7918/imga0875.jpg

in the trunk i found a sharkfin antenna with a coaxil converter
http://img704.imageshack.us/img704/5126/imga0871.jpg

a strange hidden cable behind the amp and it confused me when i opend the set to find another purpule black and ibus cables

http://img100.imageshack.us/img100/5589/imga0869.jpg

Seimens Bit-II Module
http://img369.imageshack.us/img369/7083/imga0851.jpg

Bit-II purpule black sharkfin antenna and a cream purpule cable which i couldnt figer out where does it fit inside the car!!
http://img535.imageshack.us/img535/7451/imga0861.jpg

i found a Bit-II converter which connects the module to the wiring harness, its like every module has its own converter
http://img511.imageshack.us/img511/2618/imga0864.jpg

some cables i didnt know for what like the additional purple black cable and the cream purple cable
also the TCU comes with 4 colored coaxil inputs (purple, cream , black and blue) this means im missing two cables (black and blue)

http://img138.imageshack.us/img138/8628/imga0855.jpg

i also need to know if the TCU can be connected directly to the wiring harness before the Bit-II converter

http://img245.imageshack.us/img245/7158/imga0853.jpg

any missing parts please let me know or for any needed info

For the 54 pin connector, check the WDS to make sure the pinout is correct for fiting a TCU.

For the Fakra this may be of use.

Antenna under armrest is the bluetooth antenna

The TCU needs the adapter from the BITII wiring because the pinout is different.
Do not plug in the BITII connector to the TCU directly!

The coax cables are bluetooth antenna, GSM antenna, and GPS antenna.

GSM phone = violet
GPS = blue
Bluetooth = cream

The sharkfin on the roof is GSM phone antenna only (not GPS)

The bluetooth antenna under the armrest connects directly to the TCU

(this means i dont have replace it with onather part!! i thought i must replace with BT compatible antenna)

(im allready stopped at this point wondering if there is a special adapter for the TCU or should i rewire the plug to fit the TCU after unplugin the BIT-II 54 pin black adapter OR is it posible to direct connect the blue 54 pin to the TCU after removing the black 54 pin Bit-II convertor?)

The coax cables are bluetooth antenna, GSM antenna, and GPS antenna.

GSM phone = violet (i maneged to locate as pictures show but i had found two violet plugs and i wonder what the hidden one is used for)
GPS = blue (i couldnt find it but i think its replaced on my case with the tiny connector i found attached to the MKIV)
Bluetooth = cream (this is what expect it to be connected to the antenna under the arm rest right?)

The sharkfin on the roof is GSM phone antenna only (not GPS) (Violet coax with the convertor)

The bluetooth antenna under the armrest connects directly to the TCU (Cream connector)

i did today a lot of search and i checked the WDS Big Bob mentioned earllier and i found that this TCU is not much deferent than the everest TCU so i think what nailoakley posted a conversion table between Bit-II and his everest TCU was so similar to my Contenintal TCU

any help ill be thankfull and many thx for the answers

now i need to decide what violet coax needs to be used then ill try out connections hopfuly ill not crack the car system :p:

The hidden coax possibly goes to the eject box for the antenna coupler. You'll have to follow it back up the car to see really.

The TCU has two GSM connections, to allow the assist to steal the connection to the roof antenna for emergency calls.

You might be able to rewire the 54 pin connector. Someone else will be able to tell you for sure. Since you have a BITII 54pn to 54pin adaptor, you may have the TCU pinout on the connector on the main harness. Peel back the fabric tape and check the pinout. You may find it's plug and play.

As Jochen says above, don't plug in the TCU without knowing for sure that the wiring is right.

Use the WDS to find the pinout for the 54 pin connector, and check the wiring. This table may be a little help.

so alot of wires are the same on both i just cannt confirm it yet
my car wires have more 4 sure and some defferent wire colors also im not planning to install an eject box so some wires ill forget about!

ill try to remap wires regarding the Bit-II wiring diagram maybe this way will be more secured!

Sounds like you are making good progress. V jealous of your 2008 iBus TCU. It looks like the power, iBus and audio out are the same, but the mic and eject box are different. Before you start swapping wires, you may want to check the other end (eject box side) and make sure you are not plugging in something to your TCU that could damage it.

when i checked the MKIV after assembling every thing the telephone menu keeps showing please wait!! then i tried to connect it without the adapter and kept the same after i searched on my mobile for bluetooth devices it did finaly connected!!! the funny thing that i spent more than houre making that adapter and it was just a mater of a plug and play!!
