BMW service in Houston - two different experiences
Yesterday I took my 2002 X5 4.4i to BMW Northwest (I45/FM1960) for the following repairs:
· driver's inside door handle peeling · some pixels not lighting on odometer · "BMW Assist Inactive" occasionally pops up on dash · AM radio reception bad · Center console cup holder "fingers" have fallen out · Coolant flush · Brake fluid change The only thing they would cover (and this car is still under factory warrantee, with the extended service plan, and after 4/16/06 the CPO coverage kicks for another two years/100K miles) was the odometer light. I was floored! Not only was the service rep (a female, btw), rude and snobby, but the overall experience was sickening. I said "thanks for nothing" and left. Today, I went to Momentum BMW off US59 and they covered EVERYTHING, no questions asked. The guy popped my key into the reader and viola, had a print out of my car, the mileage (15,522) and its history. I didn’t even know the car was still covered by the full factory warrantee until the service rep pointed it out. The service rep I dealt with is Gus and he was courteous, professional and very attentive to my concerns. I will NEVER go back to BMW Northwest, and suggest to all Houstonians to go to Momentum BMW first! If you schedule an apppointment with them, request your service rep be Gus. Talk about customer service! A+ |
