I can report only good experiences at Cunningham. Both warranty and non-warranty work carried out effectively. They are great on always going that extra mile to please you and cutting out the B.S. On the one occasion that they did screw up with timeliness, they were up front and honest and admitted the mistake was theirs; apologised by phone and gave me a 3 series with a full tank of gas to 'enjoy for the weekend'
Some loaners are available. Otherwise, its very low cost Enterprise rentals who have a desk right in Cunninghams office.
(ok, so technically they are in El Cajon, CA, but I find their excellent service and no nonesense attitude worthwhile for the extra 10 miles drive from SD. Cunningham are down to earth, as oppossed to the rather snotty attitude I have experienced at the 'big' SD dealer.... the one with vaulted ceilings, marble floors and vast glass foyer !)
