Ganley & Dave Walter BMW....don't do maintanance

Ok both these $tealers are located in NE Ohio ... Ganley in Middleburgh Hts and Dave Walter in Akron OH ...

For me it started all with Ganley mishandling my car while in warranty...and right after the warranty went out the gave it to me straight ...

After what Ganley has done i turned to Dave Walter who were obviously looking to make some money off of me...

Here is my story with some pics of Dave Walter BMW...they have done work on my engine knowing that the engine block is damaged...Ohhh and did I mention that the service manager kicked me out for showing him the pics...all he replied was 'I don't want to argue' ahahaha read it should be interesting i hope...might get a laugh or two

I have put a pretty good case against them...and I have politely informed the general manager of my intentions... He has asked me not to go forward with my plans, and wait for him to hear the story from both sides...I have received this call about 2 days ago ...still waiting and hoping to get car fixed or my $ back...either way im happy

Here is in more details what exactly happened...

ATM my car works fine....I am forced however to keep cleaning one of my sparkplugs due to oil depositing on it from the cyl. wall . but the rest is all good

Sorry to hear about the troubles that you've had but I can't follow your story the way that it has been written... There also appears to be some work that you've done yourself. That's obviously going to make things a little more difficult.

I've had BMWs for 20 years and, the few times that I've had to go to BMWNA, I have found them very accommodating especially because the cars were serviced at BMW dealers.

well ganley was ok on maintanance...however they made a mistake that pretty much i ended up paying for with my car...after changing some sensors and doing maitanance on my car they did not plug in the water pump the way they should have...that pump is secured and if its secured right the thing should never break loose under no circumstances .... After the car got overheated the ganley mechanic told me "oh yeah someone unplugged ur pump" ...thats not really the excuse i was looking for....

An advice for everyone tho...keep receits and always try to make sure that all is ok after your car has been into the dealer...

I am still waiting for the general manager to call...and even if thats not enough after all their service manager did kick me out of the dealer just for showing him some papers ...I really do hope he takes that into consideration..

Try BMW Cleveland in Solon, Ohio. Just bought a 2008 3.0 X 5 from them and the experience was very good. My wife bought a 2005 330 from Dave Walter and they couldn't install SAT radio. Threy kept saying that SAT radio and BMW assist were not compatible. Brought the 330 to BMW Cleveland and the SAT radio was installed with no problem.

Yes redstar that is the only dealer i am working with at the moment...they quoted me at about $211 to change my LEDs in the dash board compared to $857 at Ganley...They seem to have much more experience in customer service and also the service they provide...

Ok fine.....

But it seems to me that included in one's comments there needs to be more than just complaining about what one believes to be bad service.

All to often posters complain in what appears to me to be a one sided story.
This story may well be true from the posters vantage point but when people
begin to start posting the same story on more than one website then it begs
the question regarding intent which lead me to the question..... "Is there some way we can help you"

Complaining is one thing. However seeking a viable solution should be the
outworking of any complaint otherwise nothing is accomplished except to
bash the dealers in question which in some ways is slander.

Just my 2 cents
