Open Road in Edision, NJ

Probably the one of the rudest encounters I've had in my entire life. First, the place seems kind of old and run down but I値l give them a break since they are under construction. I usually go to prestige in northern NJ but I知 down in New Brunswick for school and my break light came up so I called to bring it in to Open Road. The thing that upset me most was that when I first came in I parked my car outside and went into the service dept and one of the SAs that were working was like, don稚 you know you have to pull your car into the garage? And I was all thrown off and was like um sorry this is the first time I've come here and didn't know your procedure. Second, I requested a ride back after dropping off my car when I called and the lady on the phone said it would not be a problem and after I check in and everything, I said I needed a ride back and it became a hassle. It was like my request wasn't even told to anyone.

Sorry, I had to vent because I just dropped off my car and was appalled with the service.

sorry dude...you can talk to BMWNA, they really crack down. That's what I did to a dealer I really couldn't stand.

...Not in my exp with a couple Stlr situs. Imo, BMWNA couldn't/wouldn't "crack down" on a plastic Solo cup.

Have you ever given back a dealer survey with anything less than "5"??

Yes, 4 times...my paranoid mind suspects they, (the low rated Stlr), flags one and gives
even more aloof to worse treatment on my next trip in.

My point is BMW dlrs are fairly arm length biz operations and it will take more than a
"run down" look and a surly SA to get much of a fanny kick from BMW USA Mutha, imo.

You must have diff. stlrs, along with fast X5World connections, out in IL.

Ask for the SA Jose Jimenez. Tell him Laura sent you. Open Road is great in my book. Sorry you had a bad experience.

But he is not as cute as you, so I don't think it will help.

I really think that BMW USA needs to have more control of its dealers.
It seems like a number of the dealers think that they should have an attitude.

Open Road it is. I was confused with Open Drive.
They are part of big group and own few other BMW dealers like Morristown BMW. I have had good experience with Morristown.

Haha, same thing happened to me! I didn't know about driving up to the garage as well. Overall, if you have an appointment it is real easy. They have your name and then you take off. The complimentary ride I thought was for new car purchases at that location where you purchased your vehicle.

sorry you had such a bad experience...

My experience is you will always start out on a good note by communicating with the SA... building a repor.. it's always better for you.

If you do decide to go to another dealership (1st time).. go there with an"open mind" cuase the same expectations or service you get at 1 dealership will not be the same with every dealership... they all have different rules, procedures and process.

and with all of them even prestige BMW (trust me) communication always gets screwed up...

don't let that 1st encounter get you down..take cmyx5go advise
