Most people who see X5's on the street in passing don't have the time to write down plate numbers. Here the opportunity to gaze for extended periods give auto predators time to size up potential victims, run their plates, and get addresses which could cause a different set of problems. So out of courtesy people have decided not to take any chances with personal information and therefore block lic. plates. But of course a person is free to do as they wish with their own vehicle but posting someone else's info? Perhaps that person should be consulted before doing so.

Do you drive around with you plate blocked out, or do you drive so fast no one can see it.
