Best car wax?

Just trying to get a poll to see which is the best car wax based on

1) ease of use effort (i'm lazy)
2) shine and look (OK/great/like a bullet)
3) price (per unit)
4) durability (how long does the wax stay on/how often)
5) where can i buy?
6) misc comments

I like Meguires NXT Link to review at another forum for ease of use and price. You can buy it at Target or just about any auto parts store. Zaino is the best, but you pay for it!

Based on your requirements, I would suggest Meguiars Car Wash and NXT Wax.

Best??? Well I use Meguiars Swirl Remover as a polish and Yellow Carnuba for wax. That being said the difference maker is the Porter Cable Orbital Sander. I can not recommend it enough! It does it better, faster and easier that hand waxing.

i had some car guys tell me to stay away from the sander, unless you're professional in that there are instances that you could take the paint off, if not used properly. is it easy to use? is it fail-proof?

Clay your car, use Klasse AIO to prep the surface and then seal it with Klasse SG. Repeat with Klasse SG once a week after waching for about 3 times total. After that you can lay down a coat of wax to add depth. This will give you an amazing shine and great protection from the elements.

how about zymol (sp?) blue color. anybody use this? my boy say this worked really well.

They are partially correct. Using a circular high speed sander (the choice of professionals) can burn your paint if held in place and pressure applied. That is why most home detailers use a dual action orbital polisher like the PC. I recommend you watch the Meguiars Power Polishing Clinic video, which tells why it is easy, fail proof and superior to hand waxing. It also describes the correct way to use the polisher.

Assuming your car has no major blemishes, wash it, clay it, then polish with Meguiars Swirl Remover using a Green Giant Polishing Pad for German Vehicles and wax with Yellow Carnuba using a Red Concourse Finishing Pad.

Regarding Zymol... it is without a doubt good... but you better not let it dry or get it on an rubber pieces or you will be sorry.
