Wink Zymol Products...need input

Hey guys, just wondering if any of you have used Zymol HD Cleanse and Carbon Wax? I've used other Zymol products with great success. I was just wondering if you had an opinion on these 2 products in particular. I Need feedback quick...TIA................Phil

Funny you ask. I was wanting to know something similar. Where is the best place to find Zymol Products? I can't seem to find Zymol Platinum just Zymol Cleaner Wax (or seomthing). I have heard that the HD Cleanse works great!

I've found it @ Bavauto.com and @ Zymol.com. I actually spoke to a Zymol rep yesterday. They have just about all of their line in stock. You can pay $7.00 per order to ship or get free shipping for $125.00 and up. Just a quick note, if any of you guys are using Zymol leather treat Z301, save some money and get the Z509 conditioner. The rep told me that you gain no big benefit unless your leather is really old. However, you will save about $20.00.........Phil

I have used them both... the HD Cleanse will make you paint as clean and squicky as a dish plate. But I found the process a tad difficult, and prefer using a clay bar. Regarding carbon wax... I was not impressed based on the price. In that class, PS21 or Zano work as good if not better for less. I myself prefer Meguiars Professional line of polishes and waxes.

Shaka, was the HD Cleanse difficult to use because of the way it has to be applied (12 to 18 inches at a time)? Or are there other reasons.............Phil

So it comes out as a brown liquid with the consistency of choclate milk. You rub and rub and rub. This becomes progressively harder because the product is drying into a mud like texture until it finally becomes chaulky (as do your hands).

Then you wipe and wipe and wipe the chaulk off... man your arms are like jelly afterward and you still have polish and wax to do.... which, if you haven't Zymol'd a car before, is going to be a job - and god help you if you do it outside in the sun or someplace where it is hot, because this stuff dries like clay to your X.

So is a clay bar easier to manage? And if so, which do you recommend............Phil

To clay your car, you mist it with detailing spray (or water) and lightly rub it with the clay bar... I can do the whole X in 15-20 minutes.

I recommend 3M Perfect-It III Cleaner Clay which you can get at any NAPA Auto or Blackfire Poly Clay. Meguiars sells a clay bar that comes with the spray, but the bar is small and the kit overpriced IMO.

best bang for the buck in clay i've found is ClayMagic clay bar found at Autozone for about 12-15 bucks i think... maybe 20 bucks.

clay is clay. it just cleans the paint. shine comes from how well prepped the paint is. polish the clear coat and remove all the swirls and the shine will out glow any wax. in fact, wax doesn't give any shine... just adds depth really...

i've used some of the zymol super expensive line and didn't think that much of them either.. they are just okay... since then i've focused on paint prepped like much of the gurus over at autopia.org and gained much better results.
