Question High Gloss Trim

How do you guys with high gloss black trim around the windows and doors get it clean. I managed to always keep mine clean as I always use a chamois after a wash, but this week I lent my X5 to my brother who stopped at a garage to have it washed and the trim is now all streaked, tried for ages today to get it clean but cant get that mirror finish look again. Any ideas?

S,
I have Zaino'd my black, (speckled with "glitter"?) trim
very lightly about once a yearish. Then, when I'm
honking on the interior or even doing a light lint/debris
pickup, I use a microfiber or old cotton t shirt dampend
with water. Sometimes I use a little Windex on the T shirt,
which will be flamed by the purists, but it works for me.

I sometimes use a lightly dampened T shirt with some
Zaino Z6 which supposedly has some anti-stat in it...

I find our black leather interior, black (speckled?) trim,
etc. to be a dust magnet, but what can you do.
GL,mD

Edit: hurtling into my 6th decade year, I failed to realize
that Sudesh may be referring to the outside trim...

Those sections get Zaino'd a few times per year, too.
Then, just washed normally, and a spritz of Z6 when I
towel dry. No, or few streaks, after 5 1/2 years.

Good post!! Made me laugh with the edit. Yeah I'm talking about the black outside trim. I tried a little polish on mine today but no improvement so will have to look into your method!! Thanks for the tips!!

Sudesh, I use Klasse AIO on the shadowline trim and follow it up with Klasse SG. The streaks are gone right away!

Hey Sudesh, Zaino (Z2) works great for me on the outside black trim. I haven't had a problem with it in the past 3 years. I also keep my X in a heated/air conditioned garage and I suspect that helps too.

I use Zaino on the wood trim on the inside too and I top everything off w/Z6...

I had the same problem after washing, it just looked like crap. I finally used Zaino and now it looks like new all the time.

I didnt check to see about shipping from the US. I thought there might be a product handy that I can just pop into my local motor store for.
