what is the best DIY for restoring Leather Seats

recently purchased an E36 323i Coupe now the front seats are tired.

No rips but the leather is ingrained.

what it is needing is a cleaner to lift most of the dirt out and re stained is this something that can be done DIY or best to use a specialist.

If DIY what products who you recommend.

Hi Scottie -

How bad is it ? You can use Leatherique Rejuvinator Oil / Pristine Clean and then redye it. However, with the time & expense procuring these products ---WHY NOT replace the seatrest ?

I have sport seats on my X5 and while it's really clean, the outside bolster is showing a little bit of unavoided wear. I plan to just replace the seatrest at some point myself..

Hi Scottie ,

Most on various uk based forums seem to recommend liquid leather.

Hope this helps

My driver side Ecru leather is showing signs of wear, how do you replace the leather?

Many thanks in advance.

Just saw this. There is an article in recent Roundel mag on how to clean up the leather seats, among others. I believe in that article also they are cleaning the E36 seats. If still interested I can look up for you.
