Cleaning Dirty Carpets

First, I'm in south florida, so if anyone knows a good detail shop, let me know. LOL

I noticed today that my carpets look pretty grimey. Maybe beyond repair. But I'd like to be able to get something to lift the girme/dirt up. I know shampoo is mentioned as well. Most say to wash it down with water etc when shampooing, but this is in the car, I dont know about putting water in there. What would work best? I did a search. Can't find it.

Do you have a pressure washer? You can actually use that and some all purpose and a brush.

it works but you will have to let them sit in the sun to dry completely.

I would also just look into a new set, don't they run about $100 or $120.

Thanks- the removable carpets I will replace. I really mean the carpet lining in the car. I'd like to give that a good scrub. Mayb with what I use in the house? Resolve- LOL

I figure a good scrub with a brush and a little water should do it. But wanted know if there was a product out there you could suggest.

There is a personal carwash location off of 441 blvd of Champions in North Lauderdale that is offers a self carpet cleaning machine (Shampoo, Vac and scented cleaner. Just like the pros use). It is very easy and for a couple of bucks it's worth it. I had to use it before and it worked great.

Why not rent a Rug Doctor from Lowes/Home Depot/etc, with the upholstery attachment?
