I have a Titanium grill installed. It too is made of Abs plastic and it is fitted like the oem grill with clips. You simply push it in place and it just clips in.Never heard of any ADHESIVE Grills?Because of the curved design of the X5 bonnet by the grill,I wouldnt recommend fitting these Adhesive grills as they may come off!!!!How much did you pay for your grills????

Is this the one where you have to cut and then put the plastic pieces on your existing grill? If it is, I can tell you that it does not look good after, and the adhesive will come off and your pieces will be dangling.

i had these for more than 1 month now, still good as when i put them on the first day, you just need good skills in precision cutting with a sharp pair of scissors. see pictures from an old thread...http://www.xoutpost.com/showthread.php?t=4366
