no detail xpert, but the key imo, is to get the rocker panel, wheel well, front air dam "plastic trim" clean when washing car. Then take you pick from a plethora of products; I currently use Meguiar's Natural Shine, (my local low rent AZ carries it): http://www.meguiars.com/?vinyl-rubbe...ber-Protectant And, I sometimes use Stoner's Trim Shine, aerosol... I apply the Meguiar's in modest amounts onto an old sock "toe", and I am very careful to keep it off the paint. I smooth it with a clean sock/towel and less is more, imo. Seems to last many days, if no rain... I have heard great stuff about Black Wow, but too lazy to order it off the net. GL,mD

I use this, it does not make the black look too shinny or the tyres.

Based on recommendations I saw, I bought 303 Aerospace Protectant. It makes these black plastic areas look good just for a day. After that, it makes the surface spotty and the black protectant is uneven. I have tried it a number of times with multiple layers without success.
I bought Black Wow (from detailersdomain) and that's probably what I'll try next. Going to be cautious though as I am concerned that it may be shiny. |

Black wow would work great but are you looking for a matte finish or one with a little sheen to it to get rid of the dullness.

Black wow is going to be your best bet, the less you use the better it will be.
I can't say that its going to last longer than your wax. But its probably the best product I have used for the trim on BMW's. Repelling Dirt and Mud well I don't really think that's going to happen but it should look decent after the mud is washed off.
