dent removal

i recently uh...got a big ol' dent in my hood. the approx location is here:

how can i get it out? i went under and removed the heat shield and used a rubber mallet but it got most of the dent out, but not all of it. theres some small bumpiness to it. and the crease is dented a little.

is there a way to exploit the warranty to fix this...say the corrosion warranty?

Sure, everyone gets their dents fixed by the local Stlr using the "corrosion warranty". Chunk of pie...

A week later someone dinged me again

Sucks because I am so carefull where I park.

You're kidding, right?

Let's see...we/TheBoard, need to rec'd an oxidizing accelerator so your dent will look corroded and the Stlr will then exclaim,

"No problem, it must be a corrosive defect and we the dealer & BMW, will be glad to give you a new hood, or at least do some amazing body work and repaint your hood. What time would you like to drop off your car and, would an M3 Cabrio be ok as a loaner for the 3 days we will have your car while we are repairing that nasty defect in your hood?!"

This is the US of A...there Is no Free Lunch.

I repeat, One cannot make this stuff up.

Try a used Brillo pad...one that has started to rust. Work it in using a circular motion like so This will then transfer the rust over to your hood.
