Einzett Paint Polish question -

Hey Phil - I bought some 1Z Pain Polish from you . looking to apply with a Porter Cable 7424 - First time user. What pads do you recommend for applying the paint polish? How about 1Z Glanz Wax? Any good instructional videos? Thanks for the great product recomendations and help!

I have 3 new LAke Country 6.5 CCS White and 3 new LC CCS 6.5 Red.

Cool - Thanks. Know anything that will get my roof rails looking good? They arre pitted and faded. The car overall looks great, but the rails look like hell.

Not to butt into your conversation, but I ended up removing my roof rails, lightly sanded them, and applied BBQ black paint (hight temp paint) to them. It gave a perfect matte finish (not shiny finish) to them. I tried to polish them before, but they were too faded.

Faded rails can actually be restored using Black WOW or Mother's Back to Black. I know it sounds strange since those are products meant for trim plastic but it works. Depending on how faded they are it might take some elbow grease and a couple of coats but it's worth a try before removing them and sanding em down. I did my rails this past weekend. They were only slightly faded but they did look gray rather than black. After a single coat of Back to Black they look brand new.

black wow on the rails never thought that would work but that's great.

you really can't fix the pits on them unless you clean them up and respray.

IT's strange - I have one rail that has pits all over it, and the other is fine, only one or two tiny pits. strange. Dan, are they hard to remove? Not too tech/tool savy.....

Sorry for the late reply. The roof rails are easy to remove. You will need a T40 and a wrench to remove the rails. There should be some rubber osver on the inside of the rails. Simply pop them off and remove the torx bolts.
