tips on using a buffer?

Bought my house 5 years ago, guessed I miss this little treat in the shed. I'd like to get some swirl marks out the paint with it. Have never used one before, any suggestions on what to use with it?

unfortunately the you won't be able to remove swirls with the machine you posted...

you can apply wax but that won't create enough heat to do much.

Oh well...so now it just comes down to what polish to use.
