I used a plastic putty knife lightly and the line paint came off the paint...phewwww!! I had a used piece of clay and that took it off the plastic.....never again!!

I had a similar incident and I ended up using Bug&Tar removal. Glad everything is ok.

I had my car spray-painted once (the whole neighborhood did), and I used clay bar, worked very well. You need to do it quick though, before the paint completely dries.
