Polishing chrome window trim?

So it seems that the X5 chrome (non-sport) window trim has some type of sealant overtop. I only say this becaus every product I use does not make any difference at all. Any tips on how to shine it up or just leave it alone?

What worked for me today was using the same AutoGlym polish I used on the paintwork. The trim might have a clearcoat on it, but the polish cleaned it up just fine. I suppose any kind of quality polish would work (einszett, Meguairs, AutoGlym etc.) I had to be careful not to get any on the surrounding rubber.

i used griots polish. worked well. I think that normal metal polish also works pretty well
