What worked for me today was using the same AutoGlym polish I used on the paintwork. The trim might have a clearcoat on it, but the polish cleaned it up just fine. I suppose any kind of quality polish would work (einszett, Meguairs, AutoGlym etc.) I had to be careful not to get any on the surrounding rubber.

i used griots polish. worked well. I think that normal metal polish also works pretty well
