Best Wheel cleaner

What is the best wheel cleaner you have used that isn't too harsh on the paint?

Sonax Full Effect Wheel Cleaner. 100% best wheel cleaner i've ever used. Phil (the detailing forum sponsor) sells it on his site detailersdomain.com

I highly recommend it, and most good detailers use it also

I just bought some bottles of this recently, and I have to admit it's probably the best I've used.

BTW listen to the directoions, do not leave it on the wheel in direct sunlight and do not leave it set for more than 5-10 minutes. Your roundell wheel caps will begin to delaminate

just tried Griot's new Heavy-Duty Wheel Cleaner for the first time. I've never used Sonax so I can't compare them directly, but Griot's seems to have copied their color-changing formula trick. it definitely has a stronger yet still pleasant odor compared to Griot's standard Wheel Cleaner, but at $16.99 for 35oz it's $7 more than the standard stuff.

brake dust has never been a huge problem since I try to clean my wheels at least every other week, so the standard Wheel Cleaner usually does the trick pretty well. also I like to get in there with a brush or mitt and get the back of the spokes and wheel barrels. I think I'll save the Heavy-Duty stuff for winter time when I can't clean the wheels as often and it's too cold to get wet washing them by hand. until then, I'll stick with the standard stuff.

for being run year-round for over a decade, I think they still look pretty damn good!
