wax on black trim
Use any of the tire shine products with a tooth brush and rag. spray, brush, wipe. Looks great.

An old (yes that's me) detailers trick is to also put some tire shine or other silicone based product on the black prior to waxing as it will help to make the wax not stick to the black, then you can wash off the tire shine afterwards....real detailers today use painters tape and tape off the mouldings etc before hand to ensure nothing stick to it...

I'd love to learn of a fix for this issue too. The only thing that keeps my X from looking perfect is the damn faded window trim!
Is there a product out there that will strip the dried-on polish & wax and bring the trim back to black? - or is it just faded and trashed to the point where the only solution is to have it professionally refinished?

I had to get in the shower and SCRUB my arms with soap to get the black stuff off. I dunno what sort of chemical they used. |

I've tried a lot of products and this still works the best.

Amen on the Vinylex!!!!!!!!! That stuff goes on every plastic surface I have. Make sure you really buff it off with a soft microfiber cloth and not too much poressure afterwards though, definately on the outer trim, otherwise the rain will give you the black and gray polka dot look (not my preference).

Oh and use it as a tire dressing (no bufffing required)
