sure thing it will contaminants will be carried off by the lubricant. Nanoskin's Glide is recommended. We also rinse off the car after we use the AutoScrub.

Huh. OK. When I claybar the lube is not running off the paint. Anything floating in the lube is being moved around....

Lets see how this plays out.

For a detail shop, who will follow this with machine polishing- and for whom arm work is a significant cost, I can see this. I'm not there yet.

if you are not comfortable with it I would stick with the clay bar.

but you are only making 1-2 passes on it and then wiping off the excess lubricant which will carry off the product at the shop we just choose to rinse after.

i'm comfortable with it and i may FINALLY have the time to use it this weekend (starting with my girls Rav4 which hasnt been clayed since she bought it last year, yuck! Then the X gets some TLC, and finally my GLI that I haven't driven in months gets attention), just a straight up rinse with water or should you soap it down one more time?

I've been renovating my house for months, went from a 2 car garage packed with stuff in it for all the work we were doing, to finally having 3/4 open, and now i can pull a car in (and after the last work in my kitchen, i'll have both sides open again and ready to park 2 cars)......

finally time to start using all these awesome products I bought from you guys haha, I'll be posting up impressions on the D300/SF4000 combo for swirls and scratches removal, as well as autoscrub.

sure thing that water is not going to be as slippery hence you will stand the chance of marring the paint due to the autoscrub pad catching.

its happened to us at the shop. figure it will definitely leave a mark.

its been a straight 25 hours of working on cars for an event this weekend sorry.

you can try it but when we used car wash soap mixed with water with clay bars the clay bar degraded much much faster than with clay lube.

I have not tried it but you are welcome to do so. We strongly recommend a good lubricant like glide etc.

UDPATE: I have finally used the Autoscrub and holy shite is all I can say.

My fiances 2011 Rav4 is black (the worst) and has never been clayed since she bought it a YEAR ago. She also has only had it hand washed by me 3 times in that year, and twice through an auto car wash (sacrilege I know, stupid dealerships washing when you go for an oil change).

OK, so rewind to Friday night. Originally, I wasn't going to use Autoscrub on her car, I figured I'd be ok without it. I did my normal wash routine and actually went over her car TWICE with Iron Cut (another great product by the way). When I dried the car off I still found there were contaminants in that lovely Toyota paint.

Saturday morning rolls around, I figure I'll go old school and just use my normal Adams gray clay bar (Phil I also own your blue one! haha) and go over it once with clay, should be fine since I did Iron cut twice right?

WRONG. After going over the entire car still had an audio track when running my fingers over it.

So now I'm pissed, I pull out the car into the driveway, get the hose out, and my PC and autoscrub pad and some detail spray. I lubed up the windows, put my PC on speed 1, and scrubbed up the glass first as directed. Then, on to the paint. Little to no pressure, just running it over the car. Didn't even have to go over panels twice. Rinsed down the entire car, pulled it in the garage to dry, and ran my fingers over.

SMOOTH AS AN ASPIRING PORN STAR. Nothing, I mean nothing left in the paint. And the Autoscrub is absolutely effortless! If you own a PC you have to get one to use, you'll be blown away like I was. I can't wait to use it on the X5 this weekend, and my GLI soon after.

Only thing I wish is that I hadn't iron cut and clayed before Autoscrub, but the way it was so effortless, I'm thinking that just using Autoscrub could have yielded the same results.

One thing about Phil and the guys at DD, when they say something works, it really does!
