Transmission Refurb
G'day all.

I've finally succumbed to my failing transmission and will drop $5-6k to have it refurbished.

My question is, what else should I do while the gearbox is out? I'm changing the shoddy starter as it's only going to cost me for the unit itself and not the labour. (Has to be removed anyway to get the tranny out)

X5 E53 2006 3.0D 160000km (but 6HP26 tranny started failing at 110000......very premature)


Hoping to keep this car for another 10 years.
