Wheel Emblem part number?

Hi
I'm missing a wheel center cap/emblem.
I looked up the part number online and found 36 13 6 768 640.
Just picked it up today from the dealer, and it looks different from what i have on now...and it wont fit.
I tried pushing/forcing it in and the tabs broke.
The new one has an outer lip around the emblem.
Old one doesnt.

Anyone know what the correct part number is?

thanks
franklin

36-13-6-768-640 is the correct part number. BMW has up dated that part to one that has a little lip around the emblem. It should snap right in. Maybe your dealer picked the wrong part off the shelf.

have any of yall tried fitting this new emblem on 4.6 wheels?
I ordered from my other supplier and got the same emblems.
I tried on both the front and rear wheels, and it physically wont go in.
I've already destroyed 2 and dont want to destroy the rest.
Is there a way to put it in? should just pop in right?

thanks
franklin
