Suggestions for a plate holder?

I like the way my vehicles including the X5 look with no plates on the front.




However, I recently got a $60 ticket in one of them so I went out and bought a few hide away plate holders.



These work great - mount them below the front facia, swing them up when you want to show the tag and then pop the tag down and slide it under the car when you don't want to show it.

The configuration below the X5 front end doesn't provide a flat/horizontal mounting surface though, so these won't fit without modifying the X5 or the holder.

Does anyone have any recommendations? I can always go buy a standard front plate holder, just trying to see if anyone has already found something better.
