A few weekends ago me and a buddy did a DICE install for my 2005 X5. It took us about 45 min. tops. There are a few good YouTube vids that give great instructions. Just put in Dice X5. The guys at EAS are GREAT!!! I ordered my DICE from them and the install was so easy my buddy and I are considering doing installs for people for a small fee here in Tampa. My only regret is that I didn't do my own video/pic overview to share with prople. My next mod will be to h/u my Sirius Stiletto 100 and a backup camera with a Garmin 7200.

I installed ipod interface from ICarKits after searching all other ipod interface sellers and by far they have the most complete and lowest price around . The installation itself was very straightforward and fast. It took me 20 minutes tops since your just using the connectors from the cd changer . I dont have the 6 disc changer so it was a matter of finding the connector and plugging in the ipod harness and then running the wires . Although I chose to leave my ipod in the back so I just velcro tape my ipod case to the insulator covering and tied up the excess wires . The longest part of the installation is removing the spare tire to remove the battery connector , so that should tell you how easy the installation is . After installing , programming the front display to show how you want it to be on the radio display or on board driver display is just by following the instructions on the manual that comes with it and by familiarizing yourself with what buttons on the radio correspond to what . I have had no problems with the ipod interface since installing it which I purchased in June. The company is located in San Diego , California and is a reputable company based on reviews and their customer service is very good.

You can install the DICE yourself and it is a very easy install. We have a PDF and video installation guide(click on video tab on the provided link):

That is correct. You do have to choose inbetween one or the other, however the connections can be swapped back and forth in under a minute if you ever want to listen to a CD that is not on your iPod.

Where the switch will be located ? Is it handy enough when I need it to switch CD/ipod? Are you referring the DICE silverline pro integration kit ? |

The DICE does not transmit video to any factory navigation screens unfortunately. It just allows for the iPod to be in the vehicle.
There is not a 'switch'. YOu would unplug the iPod kit and plug back in the CD Changer. It does not have an actual switch as you cannot 'switch' it while the car is in ACC or running.
