Plus size tire on 214s (20")
Wanted to get your input and advice on putting plus size tires on my 2011 X5 35D with style 214s. I'd like to go with something within that 1% rule... want a taller tire to fill up the wheel gap. I'm really loving the look of a meatier tire too. Bit of a noob when it comes to tires, any guidance or advice would be reallllly appreciated. The tires I'm looking at are the new Michelin - Pilot Sport All Season 4. I can also go with the DWS06 again, but wanted to try something new. Many thanks!!! |

You can fit 295/40/20 but you will need spacers for the front and rear to avoid rubbing. I got a set of DWS06 from 4wheelonline and they did great in all conditions. You can't go wrong with Michelin also.

Thanks for the input! With respect to the 295/40/20 I would assume that would be for the fronts? What would you suggest for rears? Stock sizes for the 214s are as follows: Front Size: 20" 275/40-20 Rear Size: 20" 315/35-20 |
