UK E70 3.0d : V-Spoke - Style 239 Wheels

Going to place an order for a new X5 E70 3.0d , January 2008 delivery.

Would love to know peoples general view on these wheels, would you consider putting them on your own X5? Or does the Star Spoke – Style 128 wheels look better?
The Y-Spoke style 214 wheels look awful in my view.

I spoke to my general BMW dealer over the phone and have been told as a rough guide that the 286hp 3.0sd will not available for delivery until April / May of 2008. This is too long of a wait so I decided to go ahead with 235hp version. He mentioned there is likely to be an engine upgrade (chip) which BMW will provide on their 235hp diesel engine for 2008 and ones warranty is not affected as it is BMW upgrade.

There're 21'' wheels. I really like them myself but the debate is whether or not to these or the other 21'' wheels. If you had to pick between these or the 128 style wheels, wich would it be?

You can still order from dealer here.

Both 128 and 239 are good. 239 is more work to clean. Can't go wrong either way.

I thought the 20" Y spoke's looked pretty nice. But they havn't got anything on these 239's !!

Is this chip upgrade for the 235hp the one that is going to drop the CO2 output of the engine to beloww 225g/km ? I have heard that BMW are doing this in the Spring for UK models.

The wheels look good, they stand out from the crowd. On a side not, you may want to confirm dates for the 30.sd as I have one on order for Jan delivery and have spoken to a number of dealers who are expecting the first ones in around Dec-Jan.
