Continental tires

Has anyone tried Continental tires in your x5?

I had them in a Mercedes (car) I used to own and it was the only good thing about the car. Very good tires indeed, but this was a car not an SUV.

I was leaning towards Yokohamas Geolanders but I hear a lot of complaints about noise.

This is for a stock x5 3.0 (no sports package) and the Continentals I am talking about are the Continental CrossContact LX.

My driving is pretty much every day back roads, highway, nothing crazy. In NY so I may be subject to the occasional snow in the winter.
