Toyo Proxes s/t compared to Michelins Tours

it seems that most customer reviews are giving the Toyo tires higher ratings when compared to the Michelin Lat Tour HP tires... (slightly better in dry, wet, and snowy conditions, plus they seem to get more mileage out of them)

i'm looking to install new all-season non-run flat tires on my new OEM 214 style wheels...

also like the look of these Toyos... has anyone had any issues with them?

note: getting 275/40/20 fronts, 315/35/20 rears for the 214 OEM staggered wheels (10in front, 11in rear) for my E70.

any advise will be greatly appreciated!!!

^ bump for more toyo proxes impressions. I do also like the aggressive tread pattern. (pic)

I don't like the rouded edges on proxes...gives the impression of less wide tire.

it's not about the money... just getting mixed reviews on michelins and toyos... i'm going to try them out anyway since most sites seem to speak highly of these particular toyos (at least from what i have read)

besides it's not a permanent install... we go through many tires over the years... they will wear and i will most likely try a different set, and so forth and so forth, during the life of the vehicle.. (or at least till i find the perfect set that offers all-season with good dry and wet traction)

cross my fingers!!

I have the Toyo Proxes S/T in sizes 255/50/19 and 285/45/19 on my 4.4. I have had them for about 10,000 miles or so and have no complaints. Noise has not been an issue yet, but they may get louder as they wear due to the tread pattern. So far, I would definately buy them again. I also like the way they look.

I think drod is looking for all-season tires. The yokes are summer tires.

genemish, you obviously hit something that caused your tire blowout. That would have happened with any brand of tire. The scratces on the rim help prove this theory. That tire didn't just let go. Toyo makes a very good product.

I originally had the Diamaris then moved to the Yoko Advans and I just bought my 1st pair of Toyos. I hated the Diamaris, the Yokos like all Yokos were cooked inside of 12k miles...I only have about 500 miles on the Toyos but I have no complaints especially the price $850 for 4 mounted, balanced and installed.
