Question about offset on Style 168 wheels
I'm getting ready to purchase a set of 20" replicas (style-168) for my 2004 X5 4.4L. It looks like Lakeshore Wheel & Tire has the best price ($699.00 per set). I know the OEM wheels are 9.5 with 45mm offset in front and 10.5 with 30mm offset in the rear. The set sold at LW&T is 9.0 with 35mm offset in front and 10.5 with 30mm offset in the rear. I notice some of the sets sold on ebay are this way also. Has anyone purchase these? I'm wondering if the front offset with the half inch narrower front wheel would be an issue.
Here's the link: http://www.lakeshorewheelandtire.com...s/bmw-X5.shtml Also, does anyone know of another place that sells these wheels for that price? All the ebay sets are $799 plus shipping. Thanks! |

Re;Question about offset on Style 168 wheels
I just purchased a set of 20inch Style #168 wheels (Replica) from a wheel place in Los Angeles, the rim will fit as long as you have a wheel hub adaptor that goes on the hub of the wheel (Get the aluminum ones not plastic), this will ensure proper fitment for the 20inch wheels and stick with the recomended tire size from the dealer for 20inch tires which is -
275/40/20- Front- 315/35/20-rear. Good Luck! |
