Wheel lug fitment question: e70 wheel on e53
I am mounting a set of 2008 X5 wheels (18x8.5 style 209 with 46mm offset) on my 2004 3.0 that has the stock 17x7.5 style 130 (V spoke) wheels with 48mm offset.
Can I use my exisiting wheel lugs? ![]() (duplicate post) |

I have a set of 20" OEM E70 rims on my E53 and I used my original lugs with no issues at all. I did use hub-centric rings, however, to adapt for the different hub size.

That info is much appreciated.
Yes, I just bought some polycarbonate hugcentric rings. Would be interested in knowing what type (metal v. plastic) rings you have. Do you need any anti-seize compound? Thanks. |

I used plastic rings, so no anti-seize compound was necessary for mine

Where did you guys buy the hubcentric rings, and what is the part number? I just bought the 20" sport wheels off a 2008 E70, and want to put them on my E53, 4.8iS...
Any help is appreciated. |

You need to convert from 72.56 to 74.1. I got mine on eBay - http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trk...All-Categories

I really appreciate the help.
So the correct spec is 72.56 to 74.1. Funny, but the "certified" parts associate at the local BMW center and his Manager both swore and told me that it was 74.1 to 72.56., and that I was wrong the other way around... Since you are going from a smaller hub to a larger one, the formula should list the smaller diameter first, the larger second, right??? Hub -> Wheel... Oh well... |
