Uneven Rear Tire Wear??

Hey guys! New owner of a 04 4.8is...sweet ride...Just picked it up yesterday and noticed that the driver side rear tire is much more worn than the rest?? All three other tires have around 50% tread left, yet the driver rear is pretty much bald on the inside/center of the tire tread...is this normal?? Might it have some sort of control arm problem? Should I just replace the tire or bring it into the shop and have them look it over as it is still covered under the factory warranty?

Also, because I am the second owner, do I have the ability to purchase the extended warranty for the car or am I out of luck?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Inside center, most likely over-inflated. Check the pressure on all 4 tires. I wouldn't jump right to an expensive problem like a control arm, start simple.

You can purchase an extended warranty, but not through BMW.

I live in CA, so I'm not sure an aftermarket warranty is an option for me either

Not sure why that would be. Search this forum, there are plenty available. MotorDavid has done write-ups on a lot of them.
