Tire Replacement 01 X5, 4.4i

Hello all,

I have to replace my tires on my 01' 4.4i with the sports package and need some help. I have the Michelin 4x4 Diamaris 285/45 19 on the back tires and unfortunately have a nail puncture the side wall in two places. considering the cost of michelin tires, do you think it would be a good idea to go with different brand and if so, any ideas? Or, should i just cough up the cash and get the original michelin tires! Also, can someone tell me what how many average miles I should be able to get out of the michelin diamaris?
I do want to mention that I purchased my X5 back in march and I LOVE everything about it.
Thanks
