Need to replace a wheel... Anyone with experience with reconditioned?

I've been looking at ebay for a replacement wheel and all I could find is the reconditioned. I'll buy new if thats the best bet but just curious if anyone has experience with reconditioned.

First let me say that I am not an expert on this. What I have heard regarding reconditioned wheels are not good unless you know the history of the wheel. If you buy a reconditioned wheel from some unknown person you might be taking a risk. You don't know if the wheel was cracked/repaired or just refinished. I am not saying that a refinished wheel is bad, if that's all that was done.

Yeah, I don't think I'm going to go this route. Thanks. I just really don't want to buy a new one.
