different tires: front vs rear

Is this an issue...running say toyo's in the rear and bridgestone's in the front....just throwing those two brands out there

I wouldn't personally. At least you would have a matching set on each axle, but it is best to go the same all around. If you are going to do it, be sure to get the same type of tire for front and back. I don't mean brand, I mean all-season, summer, winter whatever you are going with. Ultimately, I would match all four.
